ABOUT LIGHTBULBS
(updated 2023-04-22)form factor!
- "letter" type = overall shape (B type: bullet)
- "letter+number" = base style (E12: small/chandelier)
- measured in lumens
- color accuracy measured in R-number?
- incandescent = old style, lots of wattage and heat, burns out quick
- fluroescent = nasty colors, long time to warm up to full brightness
- halogen = something I don't know much about
- LED = lower wattage lotsa lumens, electronic drivers, not much heat BUT it's all radiated from the base by the electronic drivers which are sensitive to heat (that's why some fixtures list a low wattage rating for LEDs and a higher one for other bulbs, bad airflow + closed fixtures can worsen the problem), dimmable only if you get special ones otherwise you just get a free party strobe
ALSO YOUR CIRCUIT BREAKER CAN TRIP IF YOU OVERLOAD IT, GO TO THE BOX AND FLIP IT AGAIN. NEED TO RUN NEW CIRCUIT FROM BOX FOR MIRCOWAVE
